To All My Friends: A WALKERS DIARY Volume 1

Between 2016 and 2018 I completed six challenge treks in support of Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity. Whilst training for the first three of these treks I kept a diary. This is the first volume of that diary, the first of six. At the time I was consumed by grief, consequent to the death of my son Christopher in October 2014. The diary is a repository of observations, thoughts and feelings attendant, as much as it is a record of my 180 days of training in preparation for the treks. The diary is photographically illustrated throughout. (Certain photographs are available for purchase, in the ‘PHOTOGRAPHY’ section of this website). Volume 1 covers the period between 1^st January to 14^th March 2016 (Training Days 1-39). I was a novice to trekking – this volume, therefore, focuses on me literally ‘finding my feet’.
