“I neither read nor write; I observe.”

Louis Kahn

INTRODUCTION: My background has always been based in the visual arts, so it is perhaps not unexpected that I am keen always to include illustration in my work. The galleries that follow include imagery created, on the most part in collaboration with others, related to my works as written, notably by my daughter Katie (or Katharine Sarah Angus, as she likes to be known in her capacity as illustrator!).

‘The Beautiful Coat…’ were completed by my daughter, Katie (plus one by my son Christopher). One illustration was made for each of the fifteen stories, in black and white, using a selection of media (charcoal/pen/pencils).

Gallery Two
Illustrations for ‘The Pointless Rose’ were once again completed by my daughter, Katie, one illustration per each of the sixteen stories. On this occasion however, Katie preferred to exploit her own developing interest in photography. All photographs are therefore her authorship, caught on either iPhone or iPad.

Gallery Three
Over the years, both as educator and architect, I have produced a number of architectural drawings: architectural sketches, perspectives, measured drawings and so on. This gallery presents a selection of these, in no particular order!

Gallery Four
I developed an interest in photography many years ago, in the era of film photography – this gallery presents a selection of photographs that I have gathered, n=both from that time, and more recently, from the digital age. The topic is often architecture, perhaps inevitably! Again, these are presented not within any particular order.
